Strategery, yeah! That’d work!

Way to go, Prez! Your amazing “No Strategy” here has cost another American his life via decapitation! What the hell do you need, an engraved invitation? Can you not get it through your community organizer’s skull that these troglodytes are SERIOUS? What more do you need? Even fricking Inspector Clouseau would have this figured out by now. Simple solution: Tell your allies (whatever ones we have left) that we will support their efforts to extirpate ISIS (or ISIL, as you prefer) with air and logistical support and whatever training is required. If they fail to agree or fulfill their part of the contract, we reserve the right to go full NUCLEAR on them and turn the area known as the Levant into the world’s largest glass menagerie. PUT THE GOLF CLUBS AWAY AND DO THE JOB YOU WERE ELECTED TO DO!!!!!!
Stop playing the blame-game, it doesn’t become the office which you hold. Did you become president so you could get tee times any time, any place in the free world? I could see a single game of golf where you could discuss things in a relaxed atmosphere, but God help me! I think that you appear to be just a bit too relaxed in your “planning sessions on the links. I would have thought that a show of righteous indignation at the first decapitation would have been a nice gesture. Whatever you said at the press conference lost any impact when you were teeing it up less than 20 minutes later. Doing that makes it seem like you’re not really all that interested in world affairs of any magnitude. I would think that an American citizen who has his head forcibly removed from his body by a knife wielding maniac who is a representative of several thousands of knife (and automatic weapon) wielding maniacs might make you sit up and take notice. Apparently your long game, or maybe it’s your short game that needs more work and attention than a Levant that is descending into a modern-day Armageddon with all the trappings of the same Armageddon which is so delightfully recounted in the Bible.
It has come to light that Abu-Bakr-al-Baghdadi was at one time a resident of Club Gitmo where he could do little, if any harm. Some pointy headed advisor apparently did his “homework” and arrived at the logical (according to his enlightened wisdom) conclusion that our guest was no threat to any one so he was released! Good call, not! I’m curious. . . . Just how many times do you have to be slapped upside the head (figuratively) by events before you catch on to the fact that these sub-humans do not have anywhere near the same set of values that westerners used to have but are in the process of losing our spine to the PC termites who night and day eat away at the very soul of our once great nation. Get the notion out of your head that there will be a “Kumbaya” moment where you can “buy the world a Coke” and the world will be filled with unicorns and rainbows and we will be in the age of Aquarius. I’m surprised that you haven’t suffered a stroke from all the terrible things that have happened and will continue to happen unless you man up and strap on a pair and go out and face these bad guys. Harry Truman did it and he ended WWII. Oh, btw, you may notice that we still have forces in Japan, Germany, and Korea. Didn’t you catch that tell when you made your decision to pull our forces from Iraq and from Afghanistan. I really think you should forget about your “legacy” and think about the country first for a change. Quit whining and blaming Bush! He’s been gone for 5+ years already. Get rid of the sycophants on all your staffs and military chiefs and find the MEN with the biggest balls you can find, sit down and hash out a plan to eradicate the ISIS/L threat forever and then execute it. Think of what your precious legacy would be then. The president who stamped out terror in our lifetime. Huzzah, huzzah! But, sadly, I don’t have enough lung capacity to hold my breath that long. I was going to say that it would be difficult but doable since you had the most formidable military force in the world but unfortunately. HAD is the key word! Thanks to your lollipops and roses approach to foreign policy, you have singlehandedly done what no foreign military has been able to do. You are rendering our military into a social exercise – a meals on wheels, certainly not a fighting force. Thanks, but I’ll take strategery any day over whatever the hell you call your plan.

ISIS, or what ever this cancer on humanity calls itself, needs to be extirpated, not “contained” or whatever quaint little antiseptic phrase one cares to use. This particular branch of the “religion of peace” crucifies, beheads, rapes, buries alive, guns down, incinerates, or stones anyone who doesn’t denounce his religion, is a homosexual, or just for being someone they don’t like. So let’s be civilized and try to understand their rage. What makes them so angry? Oh, I don’t know . . . maybe that’s what their imams teach them in the madrassas and mosques – I know I’m going out on a limb here, but it’s just a thought.
It would be truly wonderful if the politicians in DC would stop and just step out of the bubble in which they live and do their jobs – defend the US and the constitution and special interests be damned. (Al Gore, you’ve had your 15 minutes of fame, now just go the hell away – please!)
Mr. President, I realize you’d rather be driving a Titleist, but could you get your pampered over-indulged ass back to the White House and DO THE JOB YOU WERE ELECTED TO DO? (You know, the one where you uphold and defend the Constitution, protect the country from all foes, both foreign and domestic – so help you GOD?)
I could not wrap my mind around your comment that “the US is the greatest nation in the world, and I am going to fundamentally change the US”. Pardon me but, WTF? Stop with the “Religion of Peace!” already. Enough of defending these 7th century throw-back sub-humans who are currently butchering people who are “non-conforming” to their peaceful dogmas and tenets – in what once was the area of the Garden of Eden.
If I were not 73 years old, I would beg to have my commission reactivated so I could serve my country once again. But that would be pointless since you’re pink-slipping senior company grade and junior field grade officers even while they are serving in combat areas! As an aside, I would like to ask each and every flag officer of each of the uniformed services: Can you honestly say that you have to the best of your ability fought to defend the constitution and defend your country and safeguard the troops under your command or have you been too busy with CYA and striving for that next star? Whatever happened to “close with and kill the enemy”? That always seemed to be a good idea that we did practice long ago in WWII!
Apparently, the 5th column that had infiltrated our State Department and other agencies at the close of the War was able to sow enough doubt and confusion about our defense strength and capability, vis-à-vis the USSR, to poison the well for decades. Now, with the arrival of the PC crowd, we might as well not have any fighting forces at all. Let’s just make them all social workers and counselors and beat our swords into ploughshares so that we can make everyone feel really good about themselves. Let me ask you, Mr. President, your national security advisers, and Joint Chiefs: As Joseph Welch once asked of another politician some 60 years ago: “Have you no shame, sir? At long last, have you no shame?”

Comments inspired by a viewing of “Lone Survivor”

I just watched “Lone Survivor” this afternoon with my wife. It is a tragedy of cosmic proportions. Looking back to 1969 when I was a 1st Lieutenant of Marines, I remember the reporting in process and getting assigned to the 11th Marine Regiment (artillery) and the huge bulk of ROE (rules of engagement) papers I had to read before I reported to my unit (Battery G) in the former Republic of Viet Nam. They were mind- boggling in their size and scope. Compared to the ROEs of today, they were like a hand written note on a scrap of paper.
I have come to the conclusion that the “war planners’ are of a mind set that would have us fight like the armies of the earliest millennia of recorded history: go out in a phalanx, blow trumpets, break for lunch, back to fighting and then call it quits for the night and pick it up again in the morning. Either that or these colossally arrogant and stupid jack wagons have no clue of what real combat is like. Based on the denouement of Viet Nam and the tragic misconduct of the Iraqi and Afghani wars, oh, and the coming soon to a middle east near you – Iranian conflict, I firmly believe that more than half of the 535 lesser lights inhabiting the political swamp (DC), several former executive officeholders, and the Joint Chiefs Of Staff for the last 2 decades should all be arrested and tried for treason, misprision, malfeasance and any other crimes you can think of. Serial Murder would be a good start. All of the men and women who died as a result of these lame ass ROEs should be hung around the neck of every politician who caved to political correctness.
Everybody is familiar with the pink breast cancer awareness theme. We need a PC awareness campaign and use Cowards’ Yellow to awaken the nation to exstirpate this vile plague upon our nation. YOU FIGHT A WAR TO WIN! If you don’t have a strategy which is VICTORY, don’t go into battle! My God, all you have to do is look at history to see what we’re up against in the Islamic territories! And they have even brought into our country! Instead of rooting them out where they breed and live, we allow them into our homeland to fester and infect. Trojan Horse? They don’t need no stinkin’ Trojan Horse!Does no one recall Aesop’s fable of the hen and the serpent’s eggs? I just don’t get it. We not only turn the other cheek but we stand on our heads and offer two more cheeks to be slapped. It’s time we modified the ancient Roman slogan “Carthago delenda est!” to fanatical, radical terrorism – no matter by whom it is practiced – must be eradicated! We can’t rely on the drones (political ones especially) operated by gamers along with the oh so reassuring electronic surveillance measures of the NSA et alii to do it. We must rely on a military campaign that destroys every vestige of this plague among the civilized nations and the vile political correctness must also be eradicated!
We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Viet Nam because some avuncular news reader had more influence over the nation than did the president at the time!
Like politics, war is not bean bag. War is an affront to humanity. Unfortunately, there are times when we must go to war to protect our nation and way of life, although I’m afraid the the way of life I grew up enjoying may have gone the way of the Dodo! This womb to tomb welfare state the political geniuses are creating is going to leave this nation full of desperate people who have no food, no work, and worst of all, NO HOPE! Is that the change we were promised?
Apparently DC is the modern day equivalent of the Land of the Lotophagi – Lotus Eaters. Once an electee arrives and starts sampling the fruit of the lotus, he becomes addle-brained and falls into the customs of the totally addicted and begins to believe the garbage that spews from the fonts of current political wisdom. The other widespread affliction of the political class is rectocranial inversion which seems to be completely irreversible. The populace has a problem inasmuch as it keeps sending these less than stellar examples of humanity back to the House and Senate. We can bitch and moan as much and as long as we care to but if we don’t start vetting better candidates, we’re going to wind up with some truly amazing examples of the living brain dead.
Please let us resolve to winnow the wheat from the chaff in government and find responsible people who will not try to micromanage our lives and will rein in the bureaucracy which seems to believe that its sole purpose is to make our lives perfectly miserable by creating as many contradictory rules and regulations as possible.

Time to look backward for our Military Brass!

I have taken pen in hand (figuratively) this time to opine and kvetch about General James Amos, the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC), and his part in the court martial of several Marines accused of urinating on the cadavers of several former Taliban murderers and terrorists.
Strike 1! General Amos was from the air wing: He’s all about “diversity”.
Strike 2! He demeans the office of CMC by violating basic rules of UCMJ
Strike 3! This pussified “marine” is a marine in name only and has made a mockery of the spirit of the United States Marine Corps in order to get along with the civilian leadership of the United States government.
It is time for someone with a soul and a brain to deep select a replacement – one who hasn’t made a Faustian deal and handed his testicles over for his stars.
For the love of God, why can’t anyone remember that the job of the military is to kill the enemy, destroy his capability to wage war, and to demoralize him. Please tell me who worried over “collateral damage” and civilian casualties in 1945 when Harry S. Truman, Democrat, gave the order to unleash hell on the Japanese people? Was there any similar concern when allied bombers leveled Dresden? The Untied States – I specifically used the word untied – doesn’t have the stomach for war. If we would commit to WINNING wars, they wouldn’t drag on for years at a phenomenal loss of national treasure!
I came home from Viet Nam angry and frustrated at the waste of our young men because of the dithering politicians. They are doing the same even today. We as a nation must elect politicians who will not go native when they are inside the Beltway; will swear to uphold the entire Constitution; will not seek to become a congressman or senator for life; Supreme Court Justices should not be granted lifetime appointments – 10 years is enough for any judge. And for good measure, senators need to be appointed by their state’s governor and legislature for 6 years and then GO HOME! They might be less apt to grandstand and try to become “great statesmen”. Case in point: that miserable twit Harry Reid who has done more to bring opprobrium on the senate than Joe McCarthy could ever have brought down. I am really beginning to believe that the man has gone soft in the head based on some of his meandering musings on the senate floor . . . Harry, nobody cares that you like to go shopping! It ain’t a special outing! Most of us do it on a regular basis if we want to eat. Duh! But, Harry, keep on keeping on and continue to make a mockery of yourself and the senate, the greatest deliberative body in the world (which hasn’t found enough time to cobble together a national budget in about 4 or 5 years), but yeah, hold onto that sobriquet since it fits so well. . . . As if!

Senior field grade officers (colonels) seeking their 1st star have become ass-kissers and suck-ups of the first order. They no longer have the warrior spirit that propelled them to their elevated rank. Too many of the Flag Officer wannabes have spent the majority of their careers as REMFs which explains Dempsey, Mullen, et al. They have no feel for combat nor empathy for the combat grunt. “Stand down?” “Hold in place?” is there a difference in the result of those orders other than the wording? The result is the same! When you start parsing like that, it is time for you to put aside your uniform and never, ever claim honorable service in the US Military!

Every cabinet member and 99% of advisers and staff should be marched out of their offices and publicly humiliated and then shunned for their treasonous actions as well as inaction. Politicians should note well that if you are going to commit American lives to battle, you damn better well be prepared to support them to the finish. If you’re not in it to win it, then stay the hell out! You don’t lose limbs, suffer from PTSD or other combat related afflictions as you remain comfortable and protected in your congressional offices. It’s your guts but it’s our blood, you self-serving poseurs. Your political careers aren’t worth one drop of our blood! I don’t recall any “Hearts and Minds” outreach during WWII and look at the results: 2 of our strongest allies today are Japan and Germany! Try to remember that the military’s job is to kill people and destroy things, NOT to be an International Meals -On-Wheels!

Look what our touchy-feely approach to international affairs has brought us – we are ridiculed and ignored and tested by every tin pot tyrant across the globe! Way to go, professional politicians! We can’t thank you enough.

Let me make a suggestion to all politicians: Go read and study the United States Constitution then read the Federalist Papers and try to apply that to your job. Just because you think something is “good” doesn’t mean that it’s constitutional – eg. The Patient Affordable Care Act. Look at the early history of the United States. How many of our early elected senators and representatives wanted a life-long sinecure as a public official? None that I can think of. There was a good reason senators were appointed by state legislatures instead of direct election – just look at our congress today – QED! A further suggestion is to read all legislation before enacting it. How in the hell can you vote for something of which you are ignorant or all you know of it is what your staff and/or lobbyists have told you. Take care of your own district for a change. All your half baked theories aren’t worth a warm bucket of spit!

Ignore the constitution at your peril. Populus iamdudum defutatus est! The people have been screwed long enough! Try to remember, dear politician, IT AIN’T ABOUT YOU! It’s about WE THE PEOPLE! If you work, and I use the term loosely, under that principle, maybe, just maybe the country will pull out of its death spiral and we can reclaim our position in the world.

Sincerely yours,
A Marine combat veteran of Viet Nam

Very strong food for thought!

A German’s View on Islam – worth reading! This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist. A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.
‘Very few people were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’
We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.
The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honour-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.
The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ‘silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.. China ‘s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.
And who can forget Rwanda , which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun..
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts–the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
Now Islamic prayers have been introduced into Toronto and other public schools in Ontario , and, yes, in Ottawa too while the Lord’s Prayer was removed (due to being so offensive?) The Islamic way may be peaceful for the time being in our country until the fanatics move in. And we are silent…….   Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand.

Received from a friend: Sir Winston Churchill 1899 Unbelievable, but the speech below was written in 1899!

(check Wikipedia – The River War) I am sending the attached short speech from Winston Churchill, delivered by him in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist. It probably sets out the current views of many, but expressed in the wonderful Churchillian turn of phrase and use of the English language, of which he was a past master. Sir Winston Churchill was, without doubt, one of the greatest men of the late 19th and 20th centuries. He was a brave young soldier, a brilliant journalist, an extraordinary politician and statesman, a great warleader and Prime Minister, to whom the Western world must be forever in his debt. He was a prophet in his own time. He died on 24 January 1965, at the grand old age of 90 and, after a lifetime of service to his country, and was accorded a State funeral. HERE IS THE SPEECH: “How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step, and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.” Sir Winston Churchill; (Source: The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 London )
